This morning, the whole school community gathered at the cenotaph at St. John’s Church to observe two minutes silence and remember all those who have fought, been injured and given their lives in conflicts around the world.
It was a beautiful and moving service.
Alfie, Daisy and Oliver read beautifully and each class laid a wreath that all the children had helped to make.
The service ended with Oak Class singing ‘The Call’; they sounded fantastic.
They will perform again at the Remembrance Afternoon in school later today.
Well done Oak Class for all your hard work to make our day of Remembrance very special. You read and sang beautifully at our service at the cenotaph in the morning and helped the afternoon run smoothly.
