Today we celebrated our ‘Shining Lights!’ There were so many fabulous things to celebrate, from various sporting achievements to academic successes. Our children are really shining their light, both in and out of school, living out our whole school values. #loving #living

A big thank you to Holly Class, Mr Garvey, Mrs Fisher and Craig for leading our school Eucharist service so beautifully this morning. The service had a Pentecost theme and was filled with song, drama, readings and prayer. What a wonderful way to end our week.

Learning
Acorn Class have been very patient! It seems like a very long time ago when we planted potatoes but this week we were able to dig up our crop. Today we prepared our potatoes by washing, chopping and seasoning. We then cooked our very own potato wedges. It really was ‘from farm to fork!’ They were delicious! #learning #acorns

Another busy week of learning in Oak Class! We’ve had our penultimate Forest School session where we made bees from pine cones and worked in teams to make mud kitchens. Wednesday afternoon we had another visit from Shaun to tell us all about The Pendle Witch trials in Lancaster Castle which was fascinating as ever. We have begun a project on designing our own theme park which we are loving! We also had our shining lights assembly and Oak Class are shining their lights extremely brightly at the moment. Enjoy your half term holiday and return refreshed ready for your last term in primary school! #Oak #learning
