Loving
This morning, we welcomed our wonderful friend, Lisa Fenton from the Blackburn Diocesan Board of Education, into school to lead worship. Lisa was delighted to talk to us about our SIAMS report and explained exactly what this means and how proud of ourselves we should all be! Thank you so much Lisa!

Learning

Year 3 have had a lovely week in school!
During class worship we looked at “U for Unite.” The children worked in two teams to build the tallest tower. We talked about the benefits of working together as one, the children really enjoyed the challenge.
In Science, Mrs Fairbrother has been carrying out experiments with the children to help them learn about plants. 🌱
In DT we explored levers and pivots, looking at how mechanisms work.
And of course we celebrated World Book Day - the costumes were wonderful! 📚 A big well done to everyone!

Willow class had a fantastic afternoon starting their new topic on the UK looking at UK geography. For our topic starter, we had a tea party. We decorated cakes and made jam sandwiches. We also looked at London landmarks and made some silhouette landmark artwork. We also created some Union Jack flags for our display in class. It’s been a super fun afternoon and a great start to our new topic.
