LOVING, LIVING AND LEARNING IN THE LIGHT OF CHRIST
Governors’ Mission Statement
The governing body at Ellel St John’s Primary School will ensure that each child gets an excellent education and is encouraged to grow within a safe and welcoming environment which will prepare them for a fulfilling life.
The Governing Body
The governors at Ellel St John’s are a dedicated group of volunteers who believe that every child should achieve their ‘personal best’ during their time at Ellel. The governing body at Ellel St John’s School is made up of parent governors, foundation governors nominated by the church, staff governors from school and local authority appointed members. The governing body works in partnership with the staff, pupils and parents in providing high quality education for all our pupils, which emphasises care for one another, academic achievement and all round development. The governors, who work voluntarily, also take on specific roles such as looking at literacy or numeracy work within school. Governors importantly also bring in their own areas of expertise into school life such as budgetary or legal skills.
But the most important thing they bring is an enthusiasm to ‘do their bit’ to help all at Ellel develop to their full potential.
If you would like to contact the Chair Of Governors, Dr Tim Devling, please direct your enquiry to the school office. Telephone number 01524 751320.
