Each year, we work alongside Galgate Methodist Church to observe the World Day of Prayer.
In 2025, we joined the congregation there on Friday 7th March for the service, the theme of which was ‘I made you wonderful’.
Oak Class led the songs which had been written for the service both in English and Maori. Worship Council also helped to create the atmosphere by using rain sticks to replicate the sound of the waves lapping on the shore. They had also worked very hard to make their beautiful Maori style headbands.
As always, it was a pleasure and a privilage to be asked to join with this local community for this very special service.
In 2024, we joined the congregation there on Friday 1st March for the service, the theme of which was ‘I beg of you, bear with one another in love’.
We had learnt the songs which were written especially for the service and sang these beautifully. The prayers were led by the Worship Council.
How wonderful to join with our local worshiping community for such a special and meaningful service.
