I can’t wait to see you all this morning! Even though we are meeting I am still setting work for you today.
L.I. to investigate words to find their meanings and synonyms.
This week’s unit is based around the book Run Wild by Gill Lewis. I think you will enjoy this one.
Set in London, it is a story of friendship, skateboarding and wolves! Enjoy reading the opening to the book, finding out about wolves and a little bit on skateboarding too!
When following links, parents should monitor that children are remaining on that page only and are keeping safe online.
All today’s lesson is here for you including the link.
Don’t forget to do your times tables test today.
Try to keep your skills and knowledge up as this will definitely help you in year 5.
L.I. To make a whole
Please take a look at Mrs O’Donnell’s blog post for today.
Take a look at Mr Garvey’s blog today please.
I wonder how you got on with the skipping P.E. from last week. Did you manage it?
L.I. To find out about life in the ocean. 🦈🦑🐳🐠🦀🐬🐡
Today you are going to be researching about life under the ocean waves.
I would like you to see what you already know about biodiversity, food chains and the marine environment by answering these questions.
- Do you know what extinct means?
- Do you know what endangered means?
- Can you think of an example of an endangered species?
- Do you know what lives under the sea?
- What do sharks eat?
- What do fish eat?
- Can you think of any reasons why an animal might be endangered?
- What is a food chain/food web
Now I have included some fact finding sheets for you and there are lots. I would say pick no more than 6 but no less than 3. You will notice that there are numerous copies of the same animal/fish, obviously just do one for each that you choose.
I hope you have a great day.
Love Mrs G. 👍😁🌈🌻✍
