We have been studying The Tempest. In groups of three we acted out the scene where Stephano and Trinculo met Caliban. Caliban was persuading the sailors to overthrow Prospero so he could rule the island, Caliban used the lure of treasure to capture the interest of Staphano and Trinculo. This is a comedy scene which we were re-enacting. We found it was hard not to laugh ourselves! After we had watched the sketches we noticed that lots of our scenes contained slap-stick humour and that everyone had interpreted the scene in different ways.
