In Topic we have been learning about a significant national event – The Great Fire of London.

We learnt about how the fire started on Sunday 2nd September 1666 in a baker’s shop on Pudding Lane in London. The baker was called Thomas Farriner.

We talked about how one tiny spark started the fire and lots of buildings in London were destroyed as the fire spread.

We also learnt about how some buildings were torn down to try and stop the fire from spreading.

We then recreated the fire using tiny cardboard houses.
