Multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000
Choose a poem you like, and answer these questions:
What is the name of the poem you have chosen?
Which poet wrote the poem?
What is the poem about?
Why do you like it?
Which ideas from the poem could you use to improve your own poetry?
This week I have been unable to download the spelling sheets and add them as PDFs.
Spellings are on Spelling Shed.
As we have been learning about the Vikings in topic here is a special Viking bread recipe for you to try at home.
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 cups water
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup rolled oats (for sprinkling on top)
1)Mix all dry ingredients and then add the water.
2)Stir all of the ingredients with a wooden spoon until you can’t stir any more.
3) Then, knead the dough with damp hands until flour is completely incorporated.
4) Finally, form the dough into a round, squash it down bit. Place it in the Dutch oven sprinkle and sprinkle it with reserved oats, and place it on the fire.
5) Turn the fire (oven) to 190 degrees and leave it alone for an hour.
6)After an hour, pull the bread out of the oven, let it cool slightly, then rip it apart in chunks like a Viking (or cut it in nice wedges) and drizzle honey on it.
