Today’s lesson is :

L.I. – To investigate and explain cubed numbers.

What is a Cube Number?

A cube number is a number which is the product of multiplying a number by itself and then by itself again. Cube numbers can also be represented in a visual way as diagrams of cubes, where the width, depth, and length each represent the number which is cubed.

What is a Cube Number example?

A cube number is a result of multiplying a whole number 3 times, here we have an example of this

In the above image, the number 2 is multiplied 3 times to give us 8, here, the number 8 is a cube number.

Extra Activity/ Mild

Have a go at writing some instructions for something someone could make. It could be a Lego model, a MineCraft model or some other kind of making activity. Include the main features you have learnt about so far from the videos.
