We are learning about Rocks in Science!

We did different experiments to test rocks for their buoyancy. We noticed some rocks sunk quickly and other rocks such as pumice, bobbed around close to the surface.

 

 

We did some research on rocks and quizzed ourselves using the I-Pads. We found out that some rocks have crystals inside them and others were different colours.

Using pipettes, we tested to see if rocks were permeable (whether water can travel through) or whether they are impermeable (where water doesn’t travel through).

We certainly had lots of fun doing all our activities!
