We gathered as a school family around the cenotaph in St John’s Church yard to honour and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice of their lives for their country. Each class laid a poppy wreath they had made and after the Last Post all the children beautifully and respectfully observed the two minute silence. After a reading, prayers and a moving rendition of The Call by Year 6 we closed with a blessing and sang the National Anthem. Thank you to the many family and friends who came to support us.
