Whole School Lockdown Art Project –
‘Positivity is a Superpower!’
Happiness is a mood, positivity is a mindset. Positive thinking is an accessible skill, a superpower that everyone can harness.
It is the strong belief that if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. Positive thinking is a powerful tool that can result in benefits for you and those around you, but things don’t always go according to plan. The sun does not always shine, and it’s learning how to respond when the rain comes pouring down – or when another lockdown is enforced.
It is unrealistic to be positive all the time, and if you are an optimist by nature, you should deal with the negative feelings without rejecting them or bottling them up because they also form part of your pathway to success.
A positive attitude is always linked to success since it assists you in exploring possibilities.
The motivation and confidence follow it in attempting any seemingly impossible task with the power of positive thinking.
For this project there are TWO parts, one drawing and one writing:
1. Design a character – Your own superhero to fight for positivity
Things to think about before you start drawing:
-
Are they a person or an animal or something else?
-
Is it you? Or someone you know?
-
What are they wearing?
-
Do they have a costume? Or a cape? Or maybe just fur for an animal?
-
What colour are they? Remember you can change the colour of anything.
Once you think you have answered all the above you can start your drawing in the supplied square. Fill the square as much as possible and make it bright!
2. What do they want to say?
Your character is the face of positivity. What do you want them to say? They send positive vibes out to everyone – that is their superpower!
Here are some ideas to get your started…
-
Never give up
-
Be kind
-
Believe in yourself
-
Be happy
-
Just do it
-
Dream big
-
Stay positive
-
Knowledge is power
Hello everyone! just a quick question…
Where’s the square that we have to draw on? Becase on my screen it just shows three copies of the same page… (that page is like a bunny thing in a superhero costume)
Thank you Olivia. I don’t know what happened but it should be sorted now.

Hello! I can’t find the grid that we are meant to put our superheroes on, and I can’t draw the superhero without the grid.
