Today we started to practise our performance poetry.

Each group chose between 2 poems:

A Poem to Be Spoken Quietly by Pie Corbett

Cat Began by Andrew Matthews

We identified the Success Criteria as a Class:

  • Speak clearly
  • Add expression
  • Use actions
  • Think about sound effects
  • Decide who is saying what
  • Collaborate

We shared where we had got up to with the class and we peer assessed by saying what we thought had gone well and how we thought it could be even better.

We made a lot of progress in just one lesson and can’t wait until we can polish our performances!
