Today, we looked at the American artist Peter Thorpe. He is famous for his space and rocket pictures. We looked at his work, the techniques and the different materials he uses. We also looked at his use of bright, bold colours. We tried to get in the different techniques he uses in our own artwork:

Peter Thorpe often uses oil pastels and chalk in his artwork. We used oil pastels to complete our in class art and then Miss Threlfall drew some giant rockets and planets on the playground in chalk for us to colour in.
