Today, we were visited by Rachael Dodgson who works for the education department of the UK Parliament. She began the afternoon with a really fun, informative and interactive assembly for all of KS2; we all learnt a lot about Parliament and how it works.
Following this, Sycamore and Oak Class took part in a workshop which was set up like a Parliamentary debate. We were given the chance to consider how the UK Parliament uses debating to make laws and we learnt all about this by watching video clips, listening to a story and taking part in our own debate. It was so much fun and we learnt so much!
A big thank you to Miss Walton for organising this for us!
