Sarah from NISCU came to visit us today to talk about the Bible.
We talked about Bible stories that we already knew including David and Goliath, the Birth of Jesus, the Death of Jesus.
We remembered that there are 66 books inside the Bible.
Toby told us that The Old Testament was written before Jesus was born and The New Testament was written after Jesus was born.
Sarah asked us what the word ‘Testament’ meant? We didn’t know so we watched a video to help us learn what it meant. Testament means promises.
Sarah opened her giant Bible to show us the inside. It had the names of each book in the Bible and we saw a Bible for children.
We then watched a video with no words only music. We had to say what happened in the story. In the story the builders had to make a choice, they had to choose whether or not to do something hard or something easy. The foolish builder built his house on sand so when it rained the house washed away. Unlike the wise builder who built his house on the rock so it did not wash away.
We even learnt a song about the foolish builder and the wise builder!
We had a brilliant time! Thanks Sarah and NISCU!
