Today we had a visit from the Mad Science company, they led a fantastic interactive whole school assembly showing the link between sport and science. The children were shown how reaction times and balancing can be improved through training, how teamwork can be used to improve results and how the right clothing to reduce drag and increase streamlining would help an athlete. Then for the grand finale we had a magnificent lighting of the Olympic flame!  Mad Science will be running an after school club in January, your child should be coming home with a letter all about it; if this does not happen then please contact the school office for further information.
