Morning Everyone!

Submitting Learning

From 15th June, we are requesting that every child sends in a piece of writing once a week. This will allow us to offer feedback and support with further learning.

You can choose the easiest method for you to send this in:

1. email a photo or attachment to me at d.padfield@ellel-st-johns.lancs.sch.uk

2. attach a photo to the blog posts – any attachments are restricted to 1mgb.

3. Save it into the class OneDrive (link shared on Parent App).

All children will receive written feedback about their writing, including a next step.

As Maths Lead within school, I would appreciate it if you could also send in a sample of Maths, also weekly if possible.

I recognise that this is another job on top of everything you are managing at home. Please know that I really appreciate that you are doing your best in difficult circumstances. I am here to support you, so please let me know if you need any help.

ENGLISH

Today I would like you to choose between the Titanic learning  (Spicy/ Hot) and BBC Bitesize (Mild).

Titanic – Spicy/ Hot

L.I. – To write a persuasive leaflet.

Use your knowledge of persuasive writing from our previous learning to help you with this task.

Read and watch  – What was life like on board Titanic?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z8mpfg8/articles/zkg9dxs

Imagine you are employed by the White Star Line (the company who owned Titanic) and have been asked to create a promotional leaflet or poster to advertise Titanic and its facilities.

Create a leaflet or poster persuading people of all classes to buy a ticket. Try to include information of what’s available to do on board for all classes.

If you’d like more information and images about the facilities available on board Titanic, use this website to support writing your leaflet or poster:
http://www.titanicandco.com/inside.html
Make sure you continue to proof-read your work as you write, checking for spelling and punctuation.

BBC Bitesize – Mild

L.I. – To identify relative clauses

This is a good revision of relative clauses. Watch the video and do the online activities.
