L.I.- To understand the Maya Number System.
The Maya had a different number system to the one we use.
They used stones, sticks and shells to represent their numbers.
The PowerPoint below will explain how their number system worked. I would suggest that you see if you can collect some stones, sticks and shells (if you haven’t got any shells then just use something else like maybe coins) that you can use to make the numbers.
