Hi everyone!
The sunshine has been lovely over the weekend and I even spotted a bee!
Have a look below to see what we are learning today. Remember to record the date and L.I. just as we do in class in your home learning book, unless it is an online task.
Don’t forget your grown up can email me if you have any questions about the work that has been set.
I will be checking my emails between 10am and 11am each weekday morning.

ENGLISH
Log into Purple Mash and there should be a 2Do for you to complete.
R.E
Click on the document below for your R.E. task.
Stilling Time
Try to find 5 minutes during your day to practise mindfulness breathing.
Find a quiet place to be. Use what we have been learning in class to still yourself. Sit on a chair with your feet flat on the ground and your hands in your lap. Practise mindful breathing: Smell the strawberry for the count of 3 and blow out the candle for the count of 4! Repeat this 4 times and relax!
Hope your first day of home learning goes well. Remember – you are wonderful!

Mrs Padfield
🙂
I don’t have a home learning book.
Hi Eve,
Did you leave it in school? If possible, you could use paper at home or type your work.
Miss Walton
Hi Eve, sorry to hear you can’t find your book. Everyone was just given a blank lined school-book, the same as we use for English, so anything will do for your home learning.
Hope this helps,
Mrs Padfield
What up guys, I’m doing good. Hope everyone is feeling great. Mrs Padfield i have done my Maths, English and about to finish my R.E but right now having a little break.?
Keep smiling!??? Bronnie x
Great job:) Hope you’ve been allowed a playtime by Mrs Poole!
Mrs Padfield
Is there any work to do in the afternoon?
Or is it just that there is only maths and English because it is the first day of home learning?-
Anyway ?
Hi – there is R.E. as well! – Check the blog x
Mrs Padfield
Nooooooo aw I can’t go on purple mash it keeps saying there is and error
SoOoO
How do I do my English work? :/
Glad that you got on it at last. I think it is just very busy with lots of children logging on.
Mrs Padfield 🙂
Wow Bronnie! I just thought that we’d have to do our work in the normal time blocks. S I guess I’ll start on that since I’ve already done my maths and English!
Just finished up on R.E! ( Whoo!) I’m now having a break and I’m awaiting my next task! 🙂
Great work Eve – have a virtual team point!
Mrs Padfield
🙂
Are there any more tasks for us? I’ve already done my R.E ( See last post) I’m saying this because my Mums interactive science project is the ” Chaos theory” She says were going to use my bedroom. I think she’s telling me to tidy my room. But anyway, Do we?
Today’s tasks were English, Maths and R.E. Have a go at the stilling time activity as well. Don’t forget that as well as this you should be reading and practising times tables everyday. You can use purple mash or Mathletics for times tables practise. Oh and of course – tidy your bedroom!
Mrs Padfield x
Thanks Mrs P – that worked really well. Sophie chose to find out about Trisha Zorn, a blind swimmer.
Hi there – glad to hear it went well! I’d like to know more about Trisha Zorn – perhaps you could let me know and I can share it with the class on the blog. Great work Sophie! Have a virtual team point. 🙂

Hello mrs Padfield

Will these tasks still be available gor Korben to fo tomorrow so he does not miss out. I appreciate there will be more tomorrow.
He did do some mathletics .
Hi there, yes all the blog posts will still be there and any tasks set on Mathletics, Purple Mash and Spelling Shed – just scroll down. Hope you’re all keeping well and safe. Don’t forget you can email me as well. Hope you can join in with P.E. through Joe Wicks workout on YouTube at 9am! Mrs Padfield
So excited for the work today! I loved looking up para athletes!?
Hi there great to hear from you! Glad you enjoyed your R.E. task – I’m just getting ready for the Joe workout on YouTube for today’s P.E. lesson. Must do my stretches! Mrs Padfield 🙂
I’ve just done the one from yesterday!?
Great – you’ll be super fit!
Mrs Padfield
A bit of catch up work for us today (all my fault as I needed to sort out work yesterday). Thomas did do purple mash and lots of reading but had to miss the rest.
From yesterday’s work, we started with reading about Pele and sporting hero’s. Maradona came into the conversation which then lead to ‘the hand of god’ in the World Cup which then lead to the Falklands war which then lead to other types of hero’s like Simon Weston. Didn’t start off with but ended with a history lesson!?
Brilliant – Thomas will know that we frequently make links to other things during lessons. This is an example of learning at its best! I’m also History Coordinator so any opportunity to broaden the children’s historical knowledge and understanding makes me very happy! Each day’s tasks will remain on the blog so don’t worry if they don’t always get done on the day. Love to you all 🙂
