Hi everyone, I hope you have all had a good week. You have had another great week of home learning. Only one more week to go and then it is half term where we can all have a well earned rest!
Here is the learning for today:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHnfcUvsK2s In the story Jack has magic beans. When he throws them out the window they make a giant beanstalk. If you had magic beans, what magical powers would your beans have?
Think about your ideas first and discuss them with your adult first.
Like last Friday, we are going to have a go at recapping some of the things we have covered in class so far. It is always good to recap prior learning so we don’t forget things we have learned.
Have a go at these games to warm up:
Select options: mixed coins – exact money – up to 20p
Then select the level that is best for your child.
These are both games we use in class so I hope the children will enjoy them.
Then have a go at some of the maths mats.
The mats have 3 levels – 1 star, 2 star, 3 star. Chose the level that is best for your child.
I have attached 3 different ones so please don’t feel you have to do all 3.
1 is great but there are more for those who like to do more:
words to build with the cards are:
you will need these cards:
p e t v e n th m s d l
Have a go at a mindfulness challenge:
|Last week, we looked at one of the many stories of Jesus. Lots of his stories show us how special Jesus was. Why do you think Jesus was so special?
Do you know any stories that show Jesus being special.
Here is one:
|https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYLHqdSO9OY Jesus Calms the Storm
The disciples must have been scared when the storm hit.
Talk about times when the children have felt scared/frightened.
Why did they feel that way? What had created those feelings?
Who helped them to be calm again?
What helps them to feel better when they have been scared? Why?
Can you draw a time when they were scared and then draw when you felt happy again. Maybe label the pictures you have drawn.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend! Mrs Quinn x
