Morning!

Nearly there one more day of lessons after today and then we can have a fun day on Friday.

No Google meet today so let me know if you need any help.

Today’s learning:

Maths

Starter:

Practise 9x table ready for Thursday’s test.

L.I. – To be able to convert litres to millilitres and vice versa.

If possible it would be useful for you to have a look at a measuring jug at home so that you can get a good idea of how much a litre is. Maybe have a go at measuring different quantities of water in a measuring jug. Try measuring in litres and then in millilitres.

Ask an adult to help you collect some containers that measure in litres / millilitres so that you can get a good idea of how much a litre is.

e.g. drinks bottles like juice, milk, drinks cans.

Remember:

1,000 millitres  (ml)= 1 litre (l)

So to convert millilitres to litres divide by 1,000      e.g.     5,600ml = 5.6l

To convert litres to millilitres multiply by 1,000    e.g.      7.8l  = 7,800ml

Based on all the inventions you have looked at throughout the week, select your favourite one.
Imagine you have been asked to create an advertisement to sell this invention on the TV, in a similar way to Shouty Man on Horrible Histories.

If you are unfamiliar with Shouty Man, here is an example:

Write a script for your advert.

Think about including persuasive features in your script such as:

  • the invention benefits
  • appealing adjectives
  • a snappy slogan
  • facts
  • offers
  • If possible, once you have written your script, you may choose to video the advert to send to me!

L.I. – To show understanding of the key message of Jesus’ teachings.

Jesus said:

Matthew 7:7-12

‘So in everything do to others what you would have them do to you.’

What does Jesus mean by that?

Create a poster to illustrate this teaching.
