Today is the final day of the school term and we all deserve a long rest from the school work (parents included). However, if you would like to continue some learning over the summer, here’s some ideas of what you could do:
Access our online learning provision– previous daily blog posts for home learning on our website will still be available on the blog over the summer so if you’ve missed any learning you could catch up over summer. You could also log in on Mathletics, Purple Mash, Times Tables Rockstars and Spelling Shed- no direct activities have been set apart from some summer spellings to practice over the summer, however you can still explore different activities on all of these platforms.
White Rose Maths Home Learning Booklets– these are free to download Maths booklets. They are available for every primary year group and a great way to consolidate this year’s learning. You could download the Autumn, Spring and Summer booklets for Year 3.
Oak National Academy– Will be providing online lessons over the summer holidays, there’s lots of different lessons. You can access them using this link. Oak National Academy summer lessons
Read, read and read!- Reading at home is so important! Not only does reading frequently help improve your child’s academic abilities, it’s a fantastic time to just relax and enjoy time with your child. Here’s a link to some Year 3 recommended reads for over summer.
Don’t forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge with the Silly Squad through Lancashire Libraries
