Well the weeks have certainly flown by!

We can’t believe how much we have done already!

Here is a little of what we have been doing in Hazel Class.

Art – we have been developing our drawing skills. We started by taking our pencil for a walk and used different types of lines. We chose different pens and pencils to create further lines and patterns.

Life Education Visit – We had a visit from Harold the giraffe and the Life Education Caravan. We found out about how our brain works by sending messages to our body. We also got to look inside bodies to see the different systems at work.

In Maths we have been investigating perimeter. We started by using straws as a unit of measure and then progressed to counting squares.

We then looked at how we can calculate the perimeter by using our knowledge of the lengths of the sides.

In Science we have been finding out about forces and magnets. We went ‘fishing’ with a magnet to find magnetic and non-magnetic materials. We learnt that not all metals are magnetic!

We look forward to sharing more with you in the coming weeks!
