Hi everyone, here is this week’s homework- due in 18th November.
English
We have been looking at when we need to use ‘a’ or ‘an’.
We use ‘an’ when the word following it starts with a vowel sound – a,e,i,o,u
For example: an apple
We use ‘a’ when the word following it starts with a consonant sound b,c,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,m,n,p,q,r,s,t,v,w,x,y,z
For example:
a dog
I have set a 2Do for you on Purple Mash for you to practise this called – Consonant or Vowel?
Please practise:
- Spellings for the test on Wednesday – these should be on Spelling Shed.
- Times tables for a quick assessment on Wednesday ( about 3 minutes). Your child should know which times tables they need to practise.
- Read at home and sign your Reading Record.
Have a lovely weekend.
🙂
