A super week for Hazel Class, especially the fun that was had in the mud at Forest School!
English / Creative Homework – due in on Monday 18th October
You have longer to do this week’s homework – please hand in your homework on Monday 18th October. This will give us time to share your homework before we break up for half term on the Thursday.
For Black History month, I would like you to choose a famous person from Black History and produce something to celebrate their lives.
This could be a picture of them, a poster, some writing or a model. You might have another idea – be creative!
If you choose to draw a picture or make a model, I would like you to write a few sentences telling me who your chosen person is and what they have done.
There is some information for you to read with your grown up at home on the PowerPoint below and there is a link to cbeebies website with some videos to watch. You don’t have to stick to the people in the PowerPoint if there is someone else you would like to do your homework on e.g. Marcus Rashford.
You might like to share this story written by Floella Benjamin, about when she moved to England as a little girl.
Please find below the regular homework that I would like the children to do each week.
Please practise:
- Spellings for the test on Wednesday – these should be on Spelling Shed.
- Times tables for a quick assessment on Wednesday ( about 3 minutes). Your child should know which times tables they need to practise.
- Read at home and sign your Reading Record.
