Good Morning all, I hope you’re all feeling great on this Sunny Tuesday morning.
Hazel Class Day 7 Work – Maths, English and Science.
In maths today I would like you to log on to purple mash and complete the to-do.
You will write the time which the clock is showing in the box provided.
If this is difficult, you can use the ‘TopMarks’ clock from yesterday to help you set the time and check your answer.

In English today, we are going to be progressing our stories by adding in the next feature of a mystery text, the main character.
I would like you to be as imaginative as possible and create the main character for your mystery story. This person is going to solve the mystery, so make sure you are happy with them.
Think about the way they look, the way they walk and the way they talk. What are they called? How do they behave?
Once you have finished fully describing your character. You can draw and label a picture of them underneath in your exercise book. It would be great to see these characters so do please email me your designs.
Science
Complete a diary entry to show any progress your seed has made since the last day of school. Has it shown any signs of growth yet? (I hope so). It would be great to see pictures of your plants and how well they’ve grown since you took them home.
Follow this link to BBC Bitesize and watch the video and complete the activity. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zy66fg8/articles/zss9msg
Once you have completed this I would like you to design and create a poster explaining all the amazing things plants do to help sustain life here on Earth.
Stilling Time- Have a go at his meditation activity.
Mr Turton’s joke of the day.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown had two sons. One was named Mind Your Own Business & the other was named Trouble. One day the two boys decided to play hide and seek. Trouble hid while Mind Your Own Business counted to one hundred. Mind Your Own Business began looking for his brother behind tress and bushes. Then he started looking in and under cars until a police man approached him and asked,
“What are you doing?”
“Playing a game,” the boy replied.
“What is your name?” the officer questioned.
“Mind Your Own Business.”
Furious the policeman inquired, “Are you looking for trouble?!”
The boy replied, “Why, yes.”
Have a great day today, keep smiling.
Mr Turton
Morning Hazel Class and Mr Turton – good joke today and very well punctuated! Keep working on those museum stories.
Take care Mrs Thomas
