English
Today we will be looking at adjectives. An adjective is a describing word.
Here is today’s English video
When we are wanting to persuade someone to say or do something we must use lots of rich description in order to convince them.
What I would like you to do is think about the word nice.
For me “nice” is a really boring word and I know you can think of many different words that mean nice but are much better. So see how many adjectives you can think of that mean the same as nice.
I would like you to now think about these pictures below and think about how you can use adjectives to describe them.
Think about how you may use your 5 senses to help when describing a picture.
What can you see?
What can you smell?
What can you hear?
What can you taste?
What can you feel?
For each picture can you write some sentences using adjectives to describe the picture.
French
Bonjour! Today in French we are going to be learning about French greetings.
Follow along with the PowerPoint and listen to the correct pronunciation of each work.
Try your best to say each of the French greetings.
Spellings
Today would have been our spelling test day, so take some time to have a go at a spelling test. New spellings are ready to go n spelling Shed.
Stilling Time
I would like you to stand or sit still in a quiet place and close your eyes for about a minute (set a timer if you need to) listen carefully to the sounds you can hear around you. Now go outside and repeat the activity. What differences did you notice? Where did you prefer to be and why?
Make sure to email me or Mr Baird with all completed work at j.turton@ellel-st-johns.lancs.sch.uk or d.baird@ellel-st-johns.lancs.sch.uk
Have a great day everyone and keep smiling.
