Good morning all and welcome to Friday’s instalment of home learning.
In maths today I would like you to have a go at the BBC Bitesize challenge.
During this week and previous weeks, you have explored a range of characters including:
Mr and Mrs Twit
The Enormous Crocodile
The Shoe People
Discuss and make a list of all the characters you have read about or viewed in film clips. Remember capital letters for names of people! Now select the characters you wish to focus on, e.g. four or five characters.
Make Top Trumps cards for your characters using the information you have read.
View this clip about how to create Top Trumps cards from LPDS TV (up to 3:45mins):
You could use the following categories for your Top Trumps cards, e.g.
Top Trumps Rating
You could also include a brief description of the character and the book they feature in.
Finally, choose your winner!
In topic today we will be looking at village life for Anglo-Saxons.
Follow this PowerPoint for some more Information – Village Life
You can pick one active or both if you are feeling super creative and have a go.
Find out more about one of the Anglo-Saxon jobs you have learnt about and then create a poster to advertise for an Anglo-Saxon worker for your job.
You should draw a picture of an Anglo-Saxon worker doing the job in the middle and provide details about the job and the qualities needed to do it in the boxes around the outside.
Choose one of these jobs to write about:
Smith, Tanner, Weaver, Jeweller, Woodworker, Potter
Using all the information you have learnt about what an Anglo-Saxon village was like can you now design and draw your own village?
In stilling time today I would like you to join in with this GoNoodle video.
Joke of the day today comes from Katie.
Why did Spider-man pick his nose?
To get rid of the Green Goblin.
Have a great weekend everyone, keep smiling.
