It has been so lovely to look at some of the children’s work from their home learning today. Purple Mash has certainly been popular! From children as astronauts, to decorated Easter eggs. What will I see tomorrow?
If you’re looking for ideas of how to recap the taught sounds in phonics, Mr Mc – Early Years / Key Stage 1 – #MakingMemories has uploaded a phonics lesson which the children would enjoy.
You could repeat many of the teaching ideas to suit any particular sounds that your child is struggling to recall. From singing songs, writing in the air and word hunts, there’s so much you can do to make their learning fun and interactive. Acorn Class love Phonics Word Hunts, you can even extend this by asking the children to write down the words that they find!
Take care,
Mrs Tyson x
Erin has enjoyed making a rocket on purple mash this morning, practising phonics on spelling shed and even practised writing some letters!
We’ve started to create a weather chart too Mrs Tyson and so far have had sunny weather ?
It’s so lovely to read what our children are up to. I hope Erin is enjoying her Home Learning, I’m sure she will be. I’ll take a look at her rocket!
Mrs Tyson
P.S. Hello Erin, enjoy the sunshine!
Hi Mrs Tyson,
I’m struggling to access Purple Mash for Finley on my iPad. Does it need to be on a pc?
It should be fine on an IPad but many teaching sites are struggling with high traffic and demand at the moment. It may be worth trying at another time. Hello to all the family!
Finley absolutely loves the Mr Mc phonics lessons!
