Oak Class have had a lovely reflective day, we spent time thinking about hope, trust, forgiveness and drawing closer to God. First we thought about hope and how life feels when we have no hope and the difference in life when we have hope, especially hope in Jesus. Next we thought about drawing closer to God through thinking about the disciples encounter with Jesus on the road to Emmaus. We walked around the running track before breaking bread just as the disciples did in the story. Then we thought about trust; who we trust and why. We discussed these ideas together and how we can trust in God. Finally we thought about forgiveness and how God will forgive us when we confess our wrong doing.

In the afternoon we had our traditional egg rolling competition, all the children had a go at throwing their egg the furthest. Leyna’s egg went the furthest and she took part in the grand final but unfortunately didn’t win. Here are some photos from the day:
