Earth Day 2023

Earth day is and internationally recognised day which is celebrated around the world.  It’s aim is to raises awareness to the issues regarding our planet.  Climate change is a very large part of this.   Every year the organisation have a theme and this year’s theme is

‘Invest in our Planet’

All the classes spent some time on this today to see what they could do to raise awareness of the global issues involved. We had lots of debating and discussions, watching programmes on how we can help, litter picking, writing letters to government for change, making pledges, creating bird feeders and of course planting.  The children are always very enthusiastic and had lots of ideas of how they could help.    Well done everyone, it looks like the planet will be in good hands!
