Today, the whole school took part in a day to learn about and celebrate Chinese New Year.
In Willow Class, we took part in lots of activities. We researched about China, made red money envelopes, painted Chinese letters, made origami tigers, made concertina dragons and hanging lanterns:
We then took part in a Chinese music workshop and had a go at doing some drumming:
Some Chinese students from Lancaster University spoke to us about how they celebrate the New Year. We made some signs to put on doors and windows to welcome the New Year:
We also ate some delicious noodles, spring rolls and prawn crackers provided by Koko Bento.
We have all had a fantastic day and it was a great way to finish off our half term.
