Oak class have had a great time experiencing different aspects of Chinese culture today. We have tasted a range of foods including prawn crackers, vegetable spring roll and vegetable noodles. We also listened to a range of Chinese instruments played for us by More Music from Morecambe. We heard a dizi, pipa, sheng, guqin, daruan and Erhu being played. Then we took part in a drumming workshop before finishing with a dragon parade! The end of our day was completed with a visit from three students from Lancaster University, who taught us about the food from their regions of China. It was fascinating to hear about the range of cultures within one country. Here are some photos from the day to give you a flavour of what we experienced!:
