We have a had a wonderful day experiencing Chinese New Year.
Thank you to Mrs. O’Donnell for organising it all for us!
In the morning, we started with lots of art activites.
- We made money wallets and received a chocolate coin
- We made origami tigers
- We made chinese dragons
- We also did some research about China using atlases and ipads
After play, we had a fantastic music workshop. It was fascinating to learn about traditional Chinese Instruments and we had the best time drumming!
In the afternoon, we tasted some delicious food and had a go at using chopsticks!
Finally, some students from Lancaster University shared with us some facts about how Chinese New Year is celebrated. We also got to make some large dragons.
It was a lovely way to spend our last day of the half term!
