Hi Beech Class,

I hope you are all well. I am missing you all lots and can’t wait to see you all back in class next week. Well done to everyone who has been having a go at the work that has been set at home.

Here are some lessons from me to have a go at at home. It maybe a good idea to spread them across the days and select one to do each day. There is a maths, English and phonics lesson.

English

In English we have been looking at Paddington Bear.

Before you watch Mrs Quinn’s lesson, please watch this clip all about Judy:

Then look at Mrs Quinn’s lesson here, where we will be writing a character description of Judy or Paddington. Use a piece of paper or your exercise book you collected from school. You may need to draw lines in the book with a pencil to write on.

Now can you write a few sentences on your own, using your robot arms to sound out your words to describe Paddington or Judy?

Use the pictures to help you:

Maths

Last week we looked at addition and this week we were due to look at subtraction. Have a look at this video on practical subtraction.

You could always write your calculations and answers in your exercise books or on a piece of paper as a further challenge.

Phonics

Have a go at this on the sound air

Mr Garvey has also done a PE video for you as today you should be having PE with him…

Have a go!!

I hope you have fun doing these lessons at home. Use them in with the work on the blog that has already been set and the books we sent home. Please use what ever you feel is working best for you at home. Please send me pictures of any work you would like me to see. I would love to see how you are getting on.

Please email if you have any questions.
