This week in class, we have been creating a new character for The Gruffalo to meet in the woods for our English work. We are then adding them into our own version of the Gruffalo. In maths, we have looked at fractions and halving. In topic, we have located the Polar Regions on a map and looked at the 5 Oceans in the world.

I am sorry about the issues with spelling shed last week. The spellings were on but you were unable to see them and I don’t know why this happened. I have put this weeks spellings on and hope you get these ones. Please let me know if you have any issues with them this week.

Beech Class Homework

In maths, we have been looking at halves as a part of work on fractions.

If you split something in half you split it into 2 equal parts.

Can you create some halves at home? Maybe you could cut your tea in to halves, split your toys into halves or maybe you have another interesting way to show it? You can take pictures of what you have done and email them to    [email protected]

Have fun with your fractions and have a lovely weekend! Mrs Quinn
