Today in science we were exploring air resistance through making our own parachutes. Thank you to the children who brought in plastic bags. We made prototype parachutes out of paper first, then when we had a successful design we transferred the design to our plastic bags. Most of us had made working parachutes by the end of the afternoon! Next we will investigate the best material for parachutes – if anyone has fabric pieces that they are happy to donate to us to make parachutes with that’d be great. Also we still need plastic bags and umbrellas to test air resistance with. Science next week will be on Wednesday because of our Greek Day on Monday.
